Third Month March 3-D Projects

Hello Friends!

This week I am hosting the challenge at Bitten by the Bug 2.  Since this is already March, I thought it would be a fun challenge to create 3-D projects in honor of month number THREE!  So here we go!  I was asked to make table decorations for a party for a woman who is retiring from her long time job in a vet clinic.  I based my decorations on a box card design, but had to make it much larger than the typical box cards I’ve made before.  I also folded down all four corners of the box so that it could be viewed from all sides of the table.  The animal figures are all double sided so they look nice from all angles as well.

I used many different cartridges on these centerpieces after searching for individual animals on Design Space, including Artistry. The sentiments on each of the flaps are mainly from Close To My Heart.  The paper is from a We Are Memory Keepers bright paper pack and the solid cardstock is from my paper stash.

I think the bright colors will look great on the tables!  I also made a matching Congrats banner, cupcake toppers and a retirement card that I will post in a day or two so stay tuned!

Please stop by Bitten by the Bug 2 to see the other Design Team 3-D projects.  Then get crafting and link up your own 3-D artwork!  We love to see your projects!

Shine like a diamond today!   Laurie

  1. I would not have thought to use the box card format for a table centerpiece – brilliant idea. I bet you had a lot of fun making these. thanks for hosting this week.

  2. What a fun challenge Laurie! Sorry I missed it. 🙁 Your box cards look great and will look even more amazing on the tables. I can’t wait to see what else you have created for this party. Hugs, Brenda
