In the Meadow…

Hello Friends!

Happy New Year from Bitten by the Bug 2!  Our first theme for 2016 is Snowmen and immediately my mind went to the cute snowman cuts from A Quilted Christmas!  Aren’t they just adorable?  They really make me smile!  I used cardstock and retired Paper Fundamentals from Close To My Heart for all my cuts and card layers.  The “Warmest Wishes” sentiment is from Jasmine.

The only embellishment I used was to put a layer of shimmery Wink of Stella on all the red pieces on the card.  I hope you can see it in the photos.  I thought any other embellishments would take away from this adorable snow couple!  They need the spotlight alone!

Please stop by Bitten by the Bug 2 to see the other snowman creations made by my talented Design Team sisters.  You will be sure to find some inspiration for your own snowman projects!  Then link up your projects for everyone to enjoy!

Sending you my Warmest Wishes for a wonderful 2016!   Laurie

Welcome Baby Card

Posted on

There will soon be a new baby boy on my husband’s side of the family–the first great-grandson for my in-laws!  We are all looking forward to the impending arrival of this little one, due in late June or early July.  I made this sweet baby card for my niece’s baby shower last week using my Cricut Explore and Design Space.  The phrase can be found on The First Few Years Cricut cartridge and the rest of the shapes are on the Baby Steps cartridge.  I colored the stars and the Welcome Baby phrase with a clear Wink of Stella Brush pen, and filled in the cheeks and nose with a colored pencil blended with a blender pen.  I used paper from DCWV The Little Mister paper pack for the background panel.  This card came together quickly after I arranged it on Design Space.

Can hardly wait to meet this little one!
