April Showers bring May…WHAT?? Can you believe it is almost May? Seriously, if time moved any faster, I’d have to spend even MORE time in my craft room!
This week at Bitten by the Bug 2 the challenge is to use an umbrella cut on our projects. I found this image of a woman walking in the rain on the City People cartridge. I honestly had never heard of this cartridge or image group, but that is one of the great things about Cricut Design Space. You can find so many images that it’s crazy! Check out the other Design Team projects at Bitten by the Bug 2 and then link up your own work featuring an UMBRELLA!
I used paper from the Regatta paper collection by Close To My Heart to make this card along with a flower cluster from the Complements. Once again, Close To My Heart made it so very easy to create the perfect project since absolutely everything in a collection is coordinated! If you haven’t tried out CTMH products yet, you are really missing the best!
The sentiment came from the Rain or Shine stamp set, also by Close To My Heart. If you like these Regatta products, don’t delay! The Regatta, Charlotte and Penelope paper collections are all retiring April 30 along with all the stamp sets in the Seasonal Expressions 1 catalog! Shop HERE to get your hands on these lovelies before they are all gone!
You can also get the Stamp of the Month, Life in Pictures, for only $5.00 with a $50.00 purchase.
AND…there are only a few more days to join my Close To My Heart team and take advantage of the amazing April promotions for new consultants! Message me for details about how you can be part of one of the newest CTMH teams. What have you got to lose?
You are AWESOME! Laurie
Since the Close To My Heart Charlotte paper collection will be retiring soon (April 30), I wanted to make a few more projects with this gorgeous paper. I had a customer wanting some wedding cards, so what better paper to use? This card was so easy to make since all the papers in the Charlotte collection go together beautifully.
The heart overlay came from the Artistry cartridge by Close To My Heart and the sentiment is a CTMH stamp. I think it made a simple, yet elegant card and I hope my customer loves it as much as I do! My mind is just full of other project to make with this fabulous paper!
Besides Charlotte, two other paper collections are also retiring April 30–Regatta and Penelope. You only have a few more days to snag these products! Simply go to my online shopping site HERE, join the April Gathering and click away!
Have a wonderful weekend and don’t let anyone dull your sparkle! Laurie
It’s time for another Heart 2 Heart Challenge project! The theme this week is Photo Op and what better Close To My Heart product to use than the fabulous April Stamp of the Month called “Life in Pictures”. I chose to use the Regatta paper collection since the paper colors matched the colors in my photos so well. Plus this paper collection and all the other items in the Seasonal Expressions 1 catalog will be retiring on April 30! Shop now HERE to get yours before they are gone forever!
The film strip Cricut cut is from the Artbooking cartridge. All the vintage camera images and the cute sentiments are from the “Life in Pictures” April Stamp of the Month. You can get this stamp set only in April for $17.95 or $5.00 with a $50.00 Close To My Heart purchase. Check out more info below.

Graduations cards already? Really? Even though it is hard to imagine, the school year will soon be winding down and Graduation will be the focus for many families. I am hosting a Card Workshop on April 16 and 17 and here are a few of the Graduation cards that will be available for crafters to make.
These Graduation cards are just a few of the many types of cards you can make at the upcoming Card Workshop for just $2.00 a card. Others include Birthday, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day and Wedding. Many cards can be personalized by choosing different colors or sentiments–the sky is the limit!
If you cannot attend the Card Workshop, I would be happy to make up kits of the cards you would like for $2.00 each plus shipping. I would also sell completed cards for $3.00 each or 4 for $10.00. Just let me know how I can help and stay tuned for pictures of other cards soon!

It’s time for a new Heart 2 Heart Challenge! Since this is already the FOURTH month of the year, we are making projects that have to do with FOUR–four years, four things, fourth grade, fourth month. I had a little trouble coming up with something to fit this challenge, but I knew I needed a birthday card soon for someone who loves all things nautical. Of course, the Regatta paper collection came to mind!
The FOURS on my card are things: four layers, four rectangles, four flowers, four sequins. I used a kraft card base with the blue anchor paper and a couple PML cards that come with the Regatta paper pack. The flowers, leaves and anchor are from the Regatta Complements. It was a quick and easy card to make since everything coordinates so perfectly in the Close To My Heart paper sets!
Stop by the Heart 2 Heart Challenge blog for more inspiration around the number FOUR! Then link up your own projects because we love to see what you create!
