SNOW Challenge at BBTB2!

Posted on

Hello, Friends!

The challenge at Bitten by the Bug 2 this week is SNOW!  Unfortunately there has been way too much snow and cold in our country lately, but on a positive note, the weather sure fits our challenge!  I’m sure many of you have taken lots of snow photos that will need a scrapbook page to live on, so let’s get crafting about SNOW!

I created this one page layout with cuts from Lacy Labels (snowflake frame), Anna’s Winter Wonderland (deer) and Artbooking (title).  I embellished with lots of silver and gold glitter paper as well as silver and gold metallic paper, both from Close To My Heart.  The background papers were from my stash.  Photos never do glitter and shine much justice, so you will have to believe me when I say it is quite beautiful in real life!

Hop on over to Bitten by the Bug 2 to see the other design team projects all about SNOW!  Then please link up your own projects for everyone to enjoy!  Time in your craft room with a cup of hot tea would be a great way to spend these cold winter days!

Thanks for stopping by today–stay warm!!  Laurie

I LOVE my new Explore!

Hello, Friends!

I recently made a thank you pocket card using my new Explore.  I really love it!  I love how it imports entire images with all the layers at once onto the virtual mat.  I love how nicely it cuts with barely any nicks, pulls or tears.  And I love how easy it is to design projects and modify images.

I used Close To My Heart papers to make this card (Hollyhock, Lagoon, and Canary) and the card base was created from CTMH Paper Fundamentals in Hollyhock.  The images were from three Cricut cartridges–Florals Embellished, Lacy Labels, and Art Philosophy from Close To My Heart.  All the CTMH projects can be ordered through my online shopping site here.

Here are directions to make this thank you pocket card:

Next is to assemble the layers of the tag, place it in the pocket and you’re done!

I hope you enjoy the card and have a wonderful day!  Laurie
