It’s Baby Week at Bitten by the Bug 2! We are celebrating all things babies from cards to layouts and everything in between. And boy, do I have a baby to share! My new grandson was born on December 29 and here is one of my first scrapbook layouts to celebrate this new little sweetie.
I used retired Georgie paper from Close To My Heart along with Peacock, Canary and Juniper cardstock. The Cricut cuts are from Wild Card, Flower Market and Artbooking. On the right side of the layout I layered the coordinating Picture My Life cards behind the photos. The journaling block is another PML card.
Be sure to check out the other design team projects at Bitten by the Bug 2. Then make your own baby project and share with us for everyone to enjoy!
Thanks for stopping by! Make this an AWESOME day! Laurie
Have you heard the news? Three of the amazing Close To My Heart Cricut cartridges will be retiring soon! Artiste, Art Philosophy, and Artfully Sent are all on a “while supplies last” basis. Sad, I know!
Today I’d like to share a couple of cards I made with cuts from Artiste. I really love all the seasonal cuts, mini album pages, three dimensional cuts, swing cards and doilies! If you don’t have this cartridge yet, you definitely need to take a look!
The first card is a baby card made with cuts from Artiste and the Georgie paper collection from Close To My Heart. I think the silver glitter paper adds the perfect accent for this card suitable for a boy or a girl.
The second card is a simple thank you card using the Zoe paper collection. Don’t you love that triangle design and “thanks” sentiment?
The versatile and varied 700 images on the Artiste Cricut cartridge make it a great go-to cartridge to have in your crafting arsenal! Along with the cartridge, you also get three full sized stamp sets and a pack of 24 CTMH assorted cardstock. Click HERE to get one for yourself before they are gone!
Today I’d like to share another card I made for a Close To My Heart Consultant’s Card Swap organized by one of my up lines, Linda Caler. Each participant chose a stamp set from the new Seasonal Expressions 2 catalog and created a card using that stamp set. I chose to use the Sunshine on a Cloudy Day stamp set and the Georgie paper collection for this card.
I made a joy fold card and designed it so the front flap will tuck under the cloud cuts. I used Juniper cardstock and Slate ink that coordinate with the beautiful Georgie papers.
I love the sentiments on this stamp set! They are so encouraging and uplifting and would be appropriate for so many situations.
Even though Georgie is perfect for baby themed scrapbooking and cards, it can certainly be used for other occasions as well. That’s one of the many things I love about Close To My Heart products–they are so versatile!
I’m so glad to have the Sunshine on a Cloudy Day stamp set. At only $9.95 it’s a great bargain that I know I will use over and over again!
Thanks for stopping by today! When life gets stressful, just TAKE A DEEP BREATH and remember IT’S ALL GOOD!! Laurie
This week at Heart 2 Heart Challenges, we were asked to create a project using some of the latest trends in paper crafting. I don’t always pay so much attention to trends since I tend to just create what I think looks good. So I decided to go to “Google University” and research a bit LOL! In one of the articles I read, they mentioned gold, stars, and funky fonts and that was the inspiration for this card.
I used the new Georgie paper collection and Artistry Cricut cartridge by Close To My Heart. Juniper and Honey paper were perfect fits with the background paper and who doesn’t love the new Gold Foil Tape by CTMH?
Head on over to Heart 2 Heart to see what the other amazing design team members have created for you! Then link up your own artwork for everyone to enjoy. You have until the end of November to enter any of the challenges this month.
Sparkle and Shine (like beautiful gold foil tape) today!! Laurie
