At Bitten by the Bug 2 this week the challenge is Birds of a Feather which means you are challenged to create a project using a Cricut BIRD cut. There are probably hundreds of bird cuts on the many Cricut cartridges, but believe it or not, there are not many peacocks! I found this one on French Manor and I think it is very elegant.
I used paper from my scrap pile for the background and the top layer of the peacock. The bottom layer is glitter paper and the purple cardstock is from Close To My Heart.
Here is a close up of the proud and glittery peacock that sits front and center on my card! I think he is a beauty!

It’s Monday and time for another Bitten by the Bug 2 design team project! This week the challenge is to make a project using a Cricut bird cut. I used this beautiful peacock from French Manor on some cards I made last summer, but I decided to use it again with a little different style this time. The fancy background shape is from Elegant Edges. I was going for elegant and beautiful and I think this card fits the bill (or beak LOL)!
I changed the design a little in Design Space by adding an extra layer and hiding some of the cuts using the Contour tool. That way I was able to have three colors in my peacock instead of only two as in the original design. Once you work with the Contour tool a bit, you will be continually thinking of how you can change your designs. The sky is truly the limit!
Please stop by the Bitten by the Bug 2 challenge blog and check out the wonderful BIRD projects created by the design team. You are always invited to spread your wings and share your art with us! Simply link up your own blog or photo at an online photo gallery.
Have an awesome day and CHOOSE to be happy! Laurie
