Celebrate Baby’s First Haircut!

Posted on

Hello Friends,

Recently I was asked to make some cards to celebrate a child’s first haircut. So I fired up my Cricut and found this adorable little baby image from the Baby Steps cartridge!

I made cards for both boys and girls from random paper from my stash.

My friend, Deanne, is a hair stylist and shared a poem that she used on her grandsons’ first haircut scrapbook pages.  It was just perfect for these cards too.  I wish I could credit the author of this poem, but unfortunately I don’t know who it is.

On the left side of the card I attached a 4 x 6 inch Flip Flap from Close To My Heart.  I envision putting a photo or two of the child’s first haircut along with a lock of hair in the Flip Flap.  I wish I had had one of these cards when my boys got their first haircuts!  I wonder if I can even find where I stashed their locks of hair.  Do you think they would still look nice after 30 years?  At any rate, I hope the parents who buy these cards at the hair salon will enjoy preserving their special memories!

Have a special day and don’t let anyone dull your sparkle!!  Laurie
