The Bitten by the Bug 2 design team was asked to create projects using a Banner or Sign this week. I recently saw a canvas project with a cute bunny and the words “hippity-hop” at a store and used that as my inspiration. Instead of putting my cuts on a canvas, I decided to put my design in an old rustic frame that I had laying around in the basement.
I used the beautiful Hope paper collection by Authentique. There is just something about soft blues and browns that appeals to me lately. The bunny was cut from the Easter 2010 cartridge and the banner and “hippity hop” were from Artistry by Close To My Heart. I think this cute bunny will make a fun addition to my Easter décor!
You really should check out the other projects containing a Banner or Sign at Bitten by the Bug 2 and then get busy crafting so you can share your projects too!
Thanks for stopping by today–I hope you have a fabulous week! Laurie
Please enjoy my next “installment” of Easter cards for this year! This adorable bunny in a flower Cricut cut came from Baby Steps. I embossed the background with a cloud folder, added some Extra Thick Twine and a sentiment from Close To My Heart.
I made the next card with paper from the Penelope collection by Close To My Heart. This beautiful paper with springtime colors is only available until the end of April, so don’t wait too long if you need this paper in your life! The basket cut is from Easter 2010 (I think) and the chocolate bunny is from a Teresa Collins Easter collection. The sentiment is from the Hopping By stamp set by CTMH.

Easter is coming! This is the first in a series of blog posts showcasing cards to celebrate Easter. Enjoy!
This cute little bunny is from the Create a Critter 2 cartridge. I made the blue panel with an egg shaped cutout in Design Space and layered various washi tapes from my stash to create the striped background. I actually need LOTS more projects to use up my “extensive” supply of washi tape!! The sentiment came from a Close To My Heart stamp set.
I used the same technique to create the background/frame for this adorable card. The chick cut is from the Easter 2010 cartridge and the sentiment again is from a Close To My Heart stamp set. Sorry I can’t give you the specific set since I am away from my craft room this week.
I’m sure looking forward to a beautiful spring weekend and I hope you are too! Unfortunately, it will be a weekend with one less hour to enjoy, but such is life. Make it a great one! Laurie
