We are going back to school this week at Bitten by the Bug 2! We were challenged to create a school themed project since this is the time of year that youngsters are heading back to their classrooms. I used the Classroom–August & September cartridge on Design Space to create this cute three dimensional school house. I decorated the school with some old Die Cuts With A View paper and a “back to school” label.
Stop over to Bitten by the Bug 2 to see the other design team school projects. There is some great artwork there! You are always welcome to link up your own projects there for everyone to enjoy.
Thanks for stopping by! Remember to do something awesome today! Laurie
Today I’m sharing another birthday card suitable for a boy who loves sports–football in particular! The football player image is from the Create a Friend Cricut cartridge. The football is from the Sports Mania cartridge. I think it’s really fun to combine cuts from various cartridges and Design Space makes it so much easier!
I found the cute background paper in the Birthday Wishes stack from Die Cuts With a View. The big football is cut from Paper Fundamentals from Close To My Heart. This was perfect paper as it has a glossy embossed pattern that resembles the texture of a real football! The sentiments are also from Close To My Heart.
Thanks for stopping by! I hope your week is off to a fabulous start! Laurie
Today I’d like to share a few more layouts that I made at the Make-a-Wish Crop a couple of weeks ago. On the first layout I used some arrow cuts from the newest Cricut cartridge from Close To My Heart called Artistry. Arrows are so popular right now, so I was happy to find all these great cuts. I especially like the circular arrow “wreath”.
For all these layouts, I used paper that I have been hoarding for a long time. Sometimes you just have to close your eyes and cut, no matter how hard it is! The paper I used is from Authentique and Die Cuts With a View.
The pictures on these layouts were from around Thanksgiving last year, so I guess I am not too far behind on my scrapping. It’s hard to believe we will have another Thanksgiving already next week! Luckily there are always more memories to document via scrapbooking!
Always remember something wonderful is about to happen! Laurie
I don’t know about where you live, but the beautiful fall leaves are almost gone here in Nebraska. There are just a few trees left with any of the gorgeous colors that I love so much, so I was happy to extend the love with this week’s Fall Colors challenge at Bitten By The Bug 2. I made a card with an older paper pack from Die Cuts With a View and coordinating cardstock from Close To My Heart.
I decided to challenge my Cricut Explore by choosing a very intricate design from Autumn Celebrations which I found on the Design Space subscription. It was definitely up to the challenge and the cut came out just perfect! The hardest part was applying adhesive to such thin lines without making a huge mess! Besides the fabulous Explore, I am a firm believer in using quality cardstock when making these kinds of cuts and the Close To My Heart paper has never disappointed me.
Please consider linking up your latest projects using Fall Colors to the BBTB2 challenge blog. We love to see the beautiful artwork that everyone creates!
Thanks for stopping by today and I hope your day is grand! Laurie
This week at Bitten By The Bug 2 we are celebrating Autumn! We were asked to use the words “Fall” or “Autumn” in our projects. I can’t wait to see what everyone comes up with since Fall is one of my favorite seasons. Please link up your projects and join in the fun at BBTB2! I hope you enjoy this simple layout I made of my grandson enjoying last year’s autumn leaves.
I used an unlikely Cricut cartridge, Mickey and Friends for the leaves. That’s one of the MANY things I love about Design Space–when you do a search for an image, they just pop up with no searching through handbooks. I would have never looked specifically at Mickey and Friends for a fall leaf image, but the perfect one for my needs was there–who knew!!
The photo frame cut with the word “fall” came from Artbooking by Close To My Heart which is such a great cartridge for scrapbookers! I used an old fall themed paper pack from Die Cuts With a View that was just perfect for my clean and simple design.
Be awesome today! Laurie
