Here are a couple of Easter cards that I recently made for a customer. I love the sweet images and beautiful colors of the Easter/Spring season. These cards were both made in Design Space using various images and paper from my stash. Enjoy!!
Here is another Valentine card that I made from a free cut recently available on Cricut Design Space. I always enjoy trying out some of their projects and this was a fun one to make! If you want to make a fancy, swirly Valentine card for someone, this is just for you. You could even add a little glitter to make it even more “blingy”LOL!
This card used all three features available with the Cricut Explore–cutting, scoring and drawing–all on one project without having to reload the mat!
I hope you are having fun looking at all the beautiful, cute and clever Valentine’s Day cards that are floating around on Pinterest and other blogs. Get some inspiration and make your own cards for a one-of-a-kind way to spread the love this week!
Today is my grandson’s third birthday! He lives near the ocean in Florida so a Pirate themed birthday card and party was perfect for him! When he was just a few months old, his nickname was Captain Finley because he sometimes used to slightly close one eye, giving us the “pirate eye”.
These are the invitations for his pirate themed birthday party that will be held next weekend. I used a bunch of different images that I found on Design Space when I searched for “pirates”. That’s just one of the many things I love about Design Space!
The following photos are of Finley’s birthday card. I made a tri fold shutter card, again with the pirate theme. The paper is from Echo Park called Pirate’s Life and the cardstock is from Close To My Heart. I love to make this type of card since it has a lot of options for embellishments and it can stand on its own for display.
What a blessing it was to witness the pure joy and excitement of a little boy turning three! I’m so lucky to be spending time with my son and his family this winter, even though I don’t have quite as much time to play with my paper!
Thanks for stopping by today! I so appreciate you!! Laurie
Halloween cards are some of my favorite cards to make even though I only send a few out to special people each year! Here are a few more that I made for some customers.
I love being able to search for images in Design Space–so much easier than searching through the multitude of individual Cricut booklets!
I also love being able to use up paper and embellishments from my well stocked stash of paper crafting supplies! I think I could craft non-stop for many years straight and not have to buy another item! Anyone with me?
Thank you very much for stopping by today! Remember to do something awesome EVERY day! Laurie
I got to help carve pumpkins the other day with my grandson! What a fun and messy time! I hadn’t carved pumpkins since I last taught Kindergarten, and that has been a few years. It’s still not my favorite thing to do, but the excitement of an almost three year old makes it special!
Here are a couple more Halloween cards that I made before my visit to Florida. Again, I used various images I found on Design Space, paper and other embellishments I found in my Halloween box and Close To My Heart paper for most of the Cricut cuts.
Remember to order your Planner pages and binders for 2017! The Planner Bundle for only $31.90 would be a perfect Christmas gift for the organized (or not-so-organized) person on your list! Choose from the new Sea Glass or Black/White Striped binders and get ready to decorate those planner pages!
I have been having so much fun visiting my almost three year old grandson and his parents in Destin, Florida for the past week or so. Yesterday we went to a pumpkin patch and had a wonderful day! I can’t wait to get back home and scrapbook some of the pictures I took, because he is the cutest little guy ever!!
I made quite a few Halloween cards before I left Nebraska, and here are a couple more. They are made from various cuts I found in Design Space along with paper and stickers from my stash. All of the cardstock is Close To My Heart since I can always count on it to cut perfectly with my Cricut!
There are only a few days left for you to get your set of the October Stamp of the Month called Yuletide Joy! It’s a good one for your Christmas cards, but is also great for other occasions like birthdays, congratulations, and even weddings!
This week we welcome Halloween at Bitten by the Bug 2! There is no end to the scary, cute, spooky or sweet themes for your Halloween projects, so let’s get crafting! I chose to put together a Make it Now project from Design Space called Spooky Forest Dimensional Art. These Make it Now projects are awesome! Just click on CUT, place the correct colored paper on your mat and voila!
This project has many layers, but they were easy enough to assemble. By using dimensional foam adhesive to attach each layer, the scene becomes three dimensional.
If you haven’t given any of the Make it Now projects a try yet, you really should! Pick a Halloween project, fire up your Cricut and then link up your project at Bitten by the Bug 2! We love it when you share your artwork!
Thanks for stopping by today! I wish for you all a wonderful week! Laurie
