This week at Bitten by the Bug 2, our challenge is to create a birthday card. The beginning of a new year is a great time to get a few cards ready for upcoming birthdays. I don’t know about you, but I make tons of cards through the year, but am the WORST at actually getting them sent to people. A new year “hope” is to be much better at sending out cards–on time!!
I used images from an old favorite, Birthday Bash, to create my card. The cardstock, stamped sentiment on the inside and the Buffalo Plaid embossing folder I used are all from Close To My Heart. I love that little mouse peeking out from the package!!
You should definitely check out the other birthday creations at Bitten by the Bug 2. You’ll be sure to find some inspiration to get working on your own birthday cards. Then link them up for everyone to enjoy!
Thanks so much for stopping by! I appreciate you all! Laurie
This week’s Bitten by the Bug 2 challenge is Birthday Bash. I made a masculine birthday card using the Southwest Cricut cartridge for my design team project. But I also made a second card that I want to share with you today.
This card was made with older paper from Authentique, my second favorite paper company besides Close To My Heart, of course! The Cricut cut is from Birthday Bash.
I love the simplicity of this design and the colors are perfect for a guy! I added a diagonal strip of various textiles as the only embellishment and DONE!
Thanks for stopping by today! I appreciate every one of you! Laurie
The theme this week at Bitten by the Bug 2 is Twins or Doubles in honor of the astrological sign of Gemini. I am so behind in making layouts of my grandson, so I decided that a big number two for his second birthday would fit the bill.
I used birthday themed paper from the Birthday Wishes collection by Echo Park and Cricut images from the Birthday Bash cartridge. The big number two was actually an image with a candle flame at the top but I decided for the sizing on my layout to take it off. So easy to do in Design Space with the Slice feature!
