Through the Year Calendar/Scrapbook Kit Part 2

Posted on

Hello, Friends!

In my last post I shared the first six months of the Through the Year calendar kit and the coordinating scrapbook pages I created based on ideas from Noreen Petty, one of my up-lines.  The page from the calendar kit is on the left and the extra coordinating scrapbook page is on the right.  Here are the final six months:

July

August

September

October

November

December

Luckily the Through the Year calendar kit is still available while supplies last!  If you would like to purchase the calendar kit, you can find it HERE.  If you would like to make the coordinating scrapbook pages, just let me know!  I will share my Design Space file with you so you can make the extra embellishments. You will end up with 12 two page layouts–one for each month!

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope you are staying warm on this very brisk winter day!    Laurie

Through the Year Calendar/Scrapbook Kit

Posted on

Hello, Friends!

I have been tucked away for several days working on the Through the Year Calendar Kit and some coordinating scrapbook pages.  This kit was the Close To My Heart special for December, but luckily we just found out that it is still available, but only while supplies last!  So if you were on the fence about purchasing this kit in December, you have another chance!

I made the calendar pages exactly as they were shown in the kit with just a couple of minor tweaks.  I then used ideas from my up-line, Noreen Petty to design a coordinating scrapbook page for each month.  That way I can add photos to each month’s calendar page and when the month is over, I will have a two page scrapbook layout for each month.  In the photos below, the left side of the layouts are from the calendar kit and the right side is my coordinating scrapbook page.  Here are the first six months:

January

  February

March

April

May

June

If you like the looks of these layouts and would like to make them yourself, you are in luck!  The Through the Year calendar kit is still available and you can purchase it HERE.  If you want to make the coordinating scrapbook pages, you will need about half a pack of Basics Fundamentals paper, a few pieces of cardstock, 12 white pages for the background and a sheet of gold glitter paper.  I would be happy to share my Design Space file for the extra Cricut cuts.  Just let me know!

Thanks for stopping by today!  Check back tomorrow to see the remaining six months of calendar/layout pages.   Laurie

SNOW Challenge at BBTB2!

Posted on

Hello, Friends!

The challenge at Bitten by the Bug 2 this week is SNOW!  Unfortunately there has been way too much snow and cold in our country lately, but on a positive note, the weather sure fits our challenge!  I’m sure many of you have taken lots of snow photos that will need a scrapbook page to live on, so let’s get crafting about SNOW!

I created this one page layout with cuts from Lacy Labels (snowflake frame), Anna’s Winter Wonderland (deer) and Artbooking (title).  I embellished with lots of silver and gold glitter paper as well as silver and gold metallic paper, both from Close To My Heart.  The background papers were from my stash.  Photos never do glitter and shine much justice, so you will have to believe me when I say it is quite beautiful in real life!

Hop on over to Bitten by the Bug 2 to see the other design team projects all about SNOW!  Then please link up your own projects for everyone to enjoy!  Time in your craft room with a cup of hot tea would be a great way to spend these cold winter days!

Thanks for stopping by today–stay warm!!  Laurie

Christmas Gifts and Boxes at BBTB2

Hello, Friends!

Paper crafting is so much fun, especially at Christmas!  I love to make handmade gifts for my friends and family and there are so many great ideas out there from which to choose.  So I was happy to see the challenge at Bitten by the Bug 2 this week which is all about Gifts and Gift Boxes/Bags!  I found a video showing how to make this awesome woven snowflake and you can view it HERE.

I used Beary Christmas paper from Close To My Heart to make my snowflake.  You definitely need double sided paper for this project.  The embellishment was cut from the Artbooking cartridge along with circles from Cricut Basics Shapes

Please stop by Bitten by the Bug 2 to see the amazing projects from the design team.  You will be sure to find some inspiration there!  Then link up your own projects because we love it when you share.

Thanks for stopping by–do awesome things today!   Laurie

It’s a Birthday Celebration at BBTB2!

Hello Friends!

This week at Bitten by the Bug 2 we are celebrating BIRTHDAYS!  I chose to get out my new Little Dreamer  Paper and Cardmaking Thin Cuts bundle for the first time to make this cute birthday card for a little girl.  I used the Artistry and Artbooking cartridges from Close To My Heart to make the birthday sentiment on the front of the card.

The card design is a center panel step fold and I found the directions on Pinterest.  I thought the center panel would be the perfect way to feature that adorable unicorn!  What little girl doesn’t love unicorns?   Everyone needs birthday cards to have on hand, so here is your chance to replenish your supply!  And while you’re at it, link up those cards at Bitten by the Bug 2 to share with everyone!

Thanks for stopping by today!  Something WONDERFUL is about to happen!!   Laurie
