Saturday was a strange day for us. It started out with two funerals in the morning and ended with a Golden Anniversary celebration that evening. I made cards for each occasion.
The sympathy cards were made with Authentique papers. I’m not sure which collection they came from because I bought a set of random 6×6 papers from Scrapbook Steals a while ago and didn’t keep track of the labels. I cut 3 different sized flowers from the Artiste Cricut cartridge using coordinating patterned paper and fastened them with a giant gem brad from Oriental Trading Company. I stamped a simple sentiment from Hero Arts on the front and a sympathy message from an unknown stamp set on the inside. Both sentiments were stamped on yellow cardstock layered on a matching green cardstock layer.
The anniversary card was so much fun to make and I am very happy with the results! I was going for a classic and elegant design and of course I had to include gold since it was for a 50th Anniversary. I used papers from the Pebbles “Mr. and Mrs.” Collection. The embellishments came from a variety of sources including the Mr. and Mrs. Collection, K & Company border stickers, and things from my stash. I love to use dimensional foam to give some of the elements a little more emphasis.
On the inside, I cut “Happy Anniversary” from the Sweethearts Cricut cartridge from gold metallic paper. I mounted it on coordinating Pebbles paper with more gold border from K & Company. I think it turned out very elegant and beautiful, just like the celebration we were honored to attend!
Happy Father’s Day!!
