Boy has it been a while since I wrote a blog post! My mother has been in the hospital since October 23 and we are remodeling our kitchen so I guess those are good enough excuses for my absence. It’s nice to be back though with a new design team project for Bitten by the Bug 2!
This week the challenge is to create a project based on a Book or Movie! I found this cute cut of Olaf from the Disney Frozen cartridge and thought it would make a great card. The cuts are very intricate, so I would suggest you make it at least 5 inches tall or you will “lose” the pieces. I had to draw on his eyebrows since the cuts were just too tiny!
The challenge at Bitten by the Bug 2 this week is to use a Cricut cut that has a Word. I have been making cards for my upcoming Christmas Card Workshop and decided to share this NOEL gatefold card for my design team project. The word NOEL is from the Flower Market cartridge by Close To My Heart.
I used paper and cardstock from the Beary Christmas collection by Close To My Heart. The snowflakes are cut from the new metallic paper in the Annual Inspirations catalog. It is nice and thick, yet cuts easily on the Cricut. The sentiment on the inside is from a retired CTMH stamp set.
I hope you can stop by the BBTB2 blog to see the other design team projects. They are awesome! Then link up your own Word projects for everyone to enjoy!
Thanks for stopping by! Don’t let the little ghouls and goblins get you this week! Laurie
Bitten by the Bug 2 is celebrating Halloween with the theme of Ghouls, Monsters and Ghosts. Halloween is just around the corner, so get your Cricut chirping with some cute or scary monsters or other seasonal characters!
My cute monster images are from Bump in the Night and the sentiment is from Happy Haunting. The paper is from an old, unknown paper pack and I used Close To My Heart cardstock for all the Cricut cuts.
Hop on over to Bitten by the Bug 2 to see the other amazing projects made by my design team sisters. They are awesome! Then link up your own projects with cute or scary monster cuts for everyone to enjoy. Thanks very much! Laurie
The challenge this week at Heart 2 Heart is Vines and Twines! I chose to make a Christmas/Winter card using some Glacier Thick Twine to decorate my snowman and the sentiment panel. The Cricut cuts are from You Are Here and Flower Market, both from Close To My Heart. The background paper is from the Beary Christmas paper collection and I used Galcier, Fern, Chocolate and New England Ivy cardstock along with White and Sea Glass glitter paper.
Please stop by Heart 2 Heart to see the other design team projects and then be sure to play along with our Vines and Twines challenge! You also still have time to join in the previous October challenges: Under the Weather, BeYOUtiful, and Mad About Plaid. We love it when you share!!
We are busy today getting ready for a Pumpkin Painting and Decorating party that my daughter in law is throwing for her daycare families and a few friends. But I wanted to stop in to share another Halloween card that I recently made. The card base is from a Lori Whitlock SVG file that I purchased a while back. I love that you can decorate these for any occasion–in this case with some Teresa Collins (I think) paper and embellishments that I had in my Halloween box.
I hope you have a wonderful weekend and stop back again for more projects on Monday! Laurie
Have you ever made a side step card? They are very easy and you can find all kinds of directions on Pinterest or YouTube. I decorated mine with papers, cutouts and stickers that came with some October Afternoon and My Mind’s Eye Halloween paper packs I’ve had in my stash.
Thanks for stopping by! I’m back in Florida having a wonderful time with my grandsons and daughter in law! Laurie
Don’t you just LOVE a good Road Trip? That’s the challenge at Bitten by the Bug 2 this week! Last spring I went on a good old fashioned road trip with a good friend. We traveled across Nebraska, through the Rockies of Colorado, south along the eastern border of Utah and finally ended up in Page, Arizona. We put in some long days of driving, but had so much fun and took LOTS of photos! So, when the Road Trip theme came up at BBTB2, I knew I had to make a layout for some of those photos.
