Easter is just around the corner, but there is still time to make some Easter projects! The challenge this week at Bitten by the Bug 2 is to create an Easter themed project. I made this cute bunny card from the Winter Woodland cartridge and the Hope collection from Authentique.
I absolutely love this paper and its vintage vibe. I added lots of inking around the papers and Cricut cuts to continue the rustic feel. For the inside sentiment, I used one of the coordinating elements from the paper collection.
Please join us at Bitten by the Bug 2 to see the other design team projects and then link up your own artwork! There are so many fun Easter cuts and we can’t wait to see what you make!
Thanks for stopping by today! I hope your week is off to a fabulous start! Laurie
Here are a few more Easter cards to share today. These are all made with paper and stickers from my stash and a retired Close To My Heart Easter stamp set.
This has to be a very quick post today since I’m on a road trip with my friend and we have places to go and sites to see! We traveled through beautiful eastern Utah yesterday to Page, Arizona. Today, who knows? The route has yet to be determined…
Hope your life is like a ROADTRIP–fabulous company, wonderful scenery and surprises around every corner! Laurie
This week at Bitten by the Bug 2, we are thinking Arbor Day and Trees! The challenge is to use a TREE cut to make a project. Since we always seem to need sympathy cards, I decided to make one to have on hand.
I used paper from the Hello Lovely collection from Close To My Heart to make this card. It paired nicely with Fern cardstock for the tree image from Artistry, also from Close To My Heart. It is hard to see in the photo, but I attached the tree image to a rectangle shape and then used the Slice feature to make a window in the top card layer that has the tree image. I then cut a separate tree image in Fern cardstock to attach over the trees cut in the window. The sentiment is from a retired stamp set, also by Close To My Heart.
I hope you can take a minute to stop by Bitten by the Bug 2 to see more TREE projects created by my talented design team sisters! Then join the fun and link up your own projects for everyone to enjoy!
Thanks for stopping by! Do something AWESOME today! Laurie
Amazingly, Easter is just around the corner! I thought I would try out a couple of the Make It Now projects on Design Space. These are really awesome projects that you can just click on and cut without doing any work besides deciding on which papers to use. But if you want to adjust the design, you can by first clicking on “custom”. Then you can change the size, layers, etc. to your own needs. I did change the size of these cards to my usual A7 (6.5 x 5 inch) size. Enjoy this little touch of Spring!!
If you have never tried out the Make It Now projects, I would suggest that you check them out! They really are quick and easy since the designing has been done for you!
Enjoy this beautiful day! Laurie
Today I’m sharing some quick and easy sympathy cards. I used the paper from last year’s National Scrapbook Month paper pack by Close To My Heart and an embossing folder I recently purchased from Joanne’s.
The stamp is from the CTMH Hello Lovely Cardmaking Bundle. I simply stamped the image on my cards, but it would have added even more interest if I would have used the coordinating Thin Cut first and then stamped the image. I could even have popped up the image with dimensional foam. Hmmm…might have to make a few more of these with the Thin Cut too!
The coral paper has gold embossing so I chose to heat emboss my stamped floral image to match. On the other card I simply chose coordinating cardstock and ink to match the Glacier print on the patterned paper. Using Close To My Heart products makes it so very easy to find the perfect match!
Thanks for stopping by today! I appreciate you all very much!! Laurie
