Heart Card

A friend recently underwent surgery to repair one of her heart valves, so I made this card to let her know I’m thinking of her and hoping she is recovering well.  I used the Dr. Checkup Cricut cartridge to cut the broken heart and bandage and outlined the heart with a Stardust Gelly Roll pen.  The embossed heart background was made with the Cross My Heart Cuttlebug folder.  The sentiment on the inside was cut from the Lyrical Letters cartridge out of red cardstock.  I got a bit messy with the Glossy Accents I used to glue the sentiment down, so I tried to camouflage it by coloring in the letters with the Stardust Gelly Roll pen.  It turned out okay, but next time I’ll use less glue. 🙂   Thanks for visiting!   Linda

I am entering this card in these challenges:  Fantabulous Cricut Challenge #197 I Heart You ; Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Have a Heart; Jo’s Scrap Shack FFC #36 ‘Anything Goes’; Craftin Desert Divas linky party; 2 Sisters Challenge Blog Challenge #173 ~ Embossing.
