I was finally able to spend some quality time in my craft room today! I purchased this SVG cut file from Lori Whitlock’s store a while back and decided this was the day to try it out! This is called an “Insta-Cube” and I made the birthday version.
The box and insert all lay flat so you can actually mail this fun card. However, I would suggest that this be given in person so you can appreciate the surprise of the recipient when the card pops into a cube! The card starts out as a small rectangular box with an insert that slides out.Once the insert is out of the box, it pops into a cube that is decorated with all kinds of cute birthday images. Here is another view of the other sides of the cube. The box pops open because of a simple mechanism with a rubber band! All the directions for this Insta-cube card are well explained in a video available on the Lori Whitlock website. This is one of the first SVG files that I’ve used with my Cricut Explore and it worked great! It was very easy to download the files to my computer and then upload the files into Design Space. I really don’t know what I would do without my Explore and Design Space any more. So many possibilities!!
Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you have a fabulous weekend! Laurie
