Here is a card I whipped up today to enter in the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog #223 Sketch Challenge. I stayed true to the sketch, using washi tape for the stripes, and a couple of die cut circular shapes from the Artiste Cricut cartridge. Using a stamp set called Kudos designed to complement the Artiste cartridge, I stamped the green image and layered it with dimensional tape onto the blue die cut. The ice cream sundae is another CTMH stamp from A Chocolate Affair set. This was a Stamp of the Month offering last year, I believe. I fussy-cut the sundae and then added some Stickles, Liquid Pearls, and Glossy Accents to make it shine. The sentiment is from the same stamp set as the sundae. I stamped it onto a banner also cut from Artiste.
I’ve been trying to find ways to use some of my washi tape, so I played around with different combinations until I finally settled on these festive colors. I guess I needed to create with bright colors this weekend. I have been working on a scrapbook with an outdoors theme for several weeks, using varying shades of tan, brown, green, and blue as the main colors, so these bright primary colors were calling out to be used!
