Coloring With the Shin Han Markers

Hello Friends!

Have you been hearing all the talk lately about adult coloring books?  They are supposedly THE thing to help you stay calm, relax and restore.  Well, I think coloring stamped images with my Shin Han markers qualifies as the same thing!  I made these cards for two good friends who celebrated their birthdays this week.

I stamped the sassy lady images from the Better with a Friend stamp set by Close To My Heart onto White Daisy cardstock.  Unfortunately, this is a Hostess only stamp set and will retire at the end of August.  I then colored in the images with my Shin Han alcohol markers.  I have not been brave enough to learn much about shading and blending yet, so my coloring IS just like you would do in a coloring book!

I trimmed around the completed stamped image and mounted it onto a For Always PML card from Close To My Heart.  My background papers were from the retiring Snowhaven and Heartstrings paper collections.  I made a grouping of dove-tailed banners to embellish the card using paper scraps and several colors of Shimmer Trim and attached my “Happy Birthday” sentiment.  To purchase any of these supplies, please visit my online CTMH Shopping Site.
