Winter Themed Challenges DT Project

Hello Friends!

This week I am double dipping!  My project is for BOTH the Heart 2 Heart challenge (COLD HANDS, WARM HEARTS) and the Bitten by the Bug 2 challenge (SNOW MUCH FUN). Unfortunately these challenges are way too appropriate for those of you in the Midwest dealing with the huge ice storm slowly making its way across your area.  Ice is so much “trickier” than plain old snow, so I hope all of my family and friends back in southeast Nebraska stay warm and safe!  On the other hand, I will be enjoying the abnormally high temps here in the Florida panhandle!  (Sorry, couldn’t resist…)

Now back to the challenges at hand–wouldn’t this layout be perfect for a special wintry photo?

All of my Cricut cuts are from the Flower Market cartridge by Close To My Heart.  The background paper is from the Whimsy Fundamentals collection and the cardstock is New England Ivy, Glacier and White Daisy.  It is hard to see from the photo, but the snowflakes and the “Winter Wonderland” were cut with white glitter cardstock.

Please stop by the Heart 2 Heart Challenges site and the Bitten by the Bug 2 site to check out the winter themed projects created by the two talented design teams.  Then link up your own projects to share for even more inspiration!  We love to see your artwork!

Thanks for stopping by!  Do something AWESOME today!!   Laurie

  1. Wow – gorgeious layout – different from any other I have seen this week – so elegant and perfect for a wintery photo. Humm in Florida — may some mud puddle pictures — I don’t get snow here in the SF bay area either – just lots of rain and cold. Have to go to the Tahoe area for snow and winter fun!

  2. Just gorgeous!!!!! Love the frame and banner-Flower Market is an awesome cartridge! We lucked out and missed the worst of the ice here in KC-it wasn’t too bad but they were expecting much worse!

  3. Laurie – WOW. Really, WOW.

I could stop there because I know I will never be able to tell you just how much I love this layout. It is stunning. The banner works so well with your Flower Market cuts. Just outstanding.

    Love, love, love this.
