Close To My Heart Cards

Hello, Crafty Friends!

Today I am sharing some cards I made using Close To My Heart papers and supplies and well as my trusty Cricut Explore and Design Space subscription.  I needed retirement/congratulations cards for a few teacher friends who are retiring, so I immediately thought of the Chalk It Up paper!  The stamped sentiments are from the coordinating Workshop on the Go and I think the retirees will get quite a chuckle!  I used the coordinating Flaxen, Lagoon, and Sorbet cardstock and inks to complete the card.

The next card is made with Brushed paper.  I used Juniper cardstock and Hollyhock, Pixie and Canary ink.  The flowers and frame were stamped with the Flowers for Mom stamp set.  I then fussy cut the images and assembled them to the bottom of the sentiment panel.  For the floral sentiment frame, I masked the “MOM” and replaced it with “happy birthday” instead.  For the flowers on the frame, I used the CTMH blender pen and ink to give them some color.  It was fun and easy!  I got the inspiration for the design from Pinterest and I think it makes a very cheerful birthday greeting for someone special!

The final card is also for a birthday and is made with Snowhaven and Heartstrings Close To My Heart paper.  I stamped the banners in various colors from the Bodacious Banners stamp set, cut them out and adhered them with dimensional foam to the card front.  I added a length of red twine from my stash, made a birthday sentiment from the Holiday Tags stamp set and it was done!  I love how quickly projects come together with the coordinating Close To My Heart products!  If you need any of these amazing supplies, click here to shop at my CTMH website.
