Christmas Cards 2013

How appropriate to post pictures of my Christmas cards on this cold and snowy Nebraska Sunday!  Every year I am less and less a fan of winter weather, but I have to admit that it is really beautiful outdoors… The first set of cards I made using old Die Cuts With a View paper, some tags and labels from Recollections, ribbons from my stash, and dimensional stickers from K & Company.  I love the “old fashioned” feel of these designs!

The next design uses paper from the Authentique “Wonder” collection.  I stamped and heat embossed the tree, then added Stickles.  I mounted the tree on a shaped frame and shadow cut with my Cricut.  I also embellished the card with enamel dots and added a ribbon.

The next cards are made with “Winter Wonderland” paper from My Mind’s Eye and some dimensional Santa stickers from Recollections that I mounted on two layers of scalloped circles.  I used strips of washi tape from this paper collection as well.  I think they turned our fun and whimsical!

The next card was a bit frustrating, but I like the final results!  I cut the angel from the Cricut cartridge A Quilted Christmas.  The cuts are fairly intricate and I had to poke out a lot of little stuck on pieces from my angels.  I used glossy paper from my stash.

The final cards were very fun to make!  I used the Cricut Craft Room to weld the ornament cut to a rectangle.  I placed strips of glitter tape from American Crafts behind the cutout for “stripes” on the ornaments, then added a ribbon bow on one design and a gold thread bow on the other design.  I also used my Cuttlebug to emboss the white layer with a snowflake folder.  The background paper was from Die Cuts With a View and Recollections.  I think these cards are very festive!  Thanks for looking!  Laurie
