Today on the Heart 2 Heart challenge blog the theme is “Changes”. I chose to make a layout depicting the changes in my grandson and also the changes of the seasons. That little boy has changed so much in one year! It’s so much different watching a grandchild grow compared to my own children. I think when I was a mommy, I was so busy doing that job that I many times forgot to notice the little things that happened each day. Now that I am a Grandma, I can savor and appreciate every little accomplishment!
I used the beautiful Sangria paper collection from Close To My Heart to create my layout. I love the jewel tones of the new coordinating cardstock colors: Poppy, Pomegranate, Fern and Saffron. I also used Cocoa and Autumn Terracotta (retired) cardstock. I cut the leaf wreath from the new Artistry cartridge by Close To My Heart and added various colored layered leaf shapes, also from Artistry. I took my inspiration from the layout featured on page 118 of the CTMH Annual Inspirations idea book.
I hope you will consider joining us at Heart 2 Heart Challenges to share any artwork you have made about “Changes”. And always remember to enjoy the little things in life like a baby blowing a kiss! Laurie
