Happy Valentine’s Day!
Today I’d like to share the Valentine Pop Up Box card that I made for my husband. These are so fun to make and I love that they stand up on their own yet fold flat to fit into an envelope for delivery. They look pretty impressive in person!
I had some Authentique Valentine paper and embellishments in my craftroom that I thought would be perfect for this project. Next to Close To My Heart paper, I am very partial to Authentique paper. There’s just something about the texture and designs that I love!
I think my husband will really like this card! It’s actually a card AND home décor in one–you can’t go wrong with that!
You could make this pop up box card for any occasion. I was asked to use this design to make some table decorations for a customer who is hosting a retirement celebration–can’t wait to get started on those!
Wishing you lots of LOVELY moments on this Valentine’s Day and EVERYDAY!! Laurie

Today I would like to share the Valentine I made for my grandson. The inspiration for this card came from Melanie Brown at Courtney Lane, Margi Gilbertson at Artsy Margi and a cute little sock monkey I found at Walmart.
I used the sock monkey cut from Artfully Sent by Close To My Heart along with Cranberry, Glacier, Chocolate and Black cardstock. The “love you” stamp is from the January Stamp of the Month stamp set. The only embellishment I used was a red enamel heart from CTMH.
Here is the inside of the kraft card base along with a Happy Valentine stamp from Close To My Heart. I can’t wait to see how my grandson likes the stuffed sock monkey and matching card! Of course, he had to get a couple of books, too. The former teacher in me demands that he have a book or two for every holiday!!
Today is an awesome day–make lots of people smile! Laurie
I have more Valentine cards to share today! Fun, easy and available for purchase–$3.00 each or 4 for $10.00–a great deal for unique, hand crafted cards for those special people in your life!
The card above is a shaker style card with heart confetti that wiggles around! A picture just doesn’t do it justice, but believe me, it’s pretty impressive! Remember something WONDERFUL is about to happen! Laurie
Today I am sharing some Valentine cards that I made with children in mind. I used various Cricut cartridges and paper from my stash to create these cards. I simply searched for images and sentiments in Design Space and set the size and orientation to fit an A7 sized card. I really enjoy making Valentine cards because there are so many possible styles and so many different people who deserve a great hand crafted card.
Some of these cards are going on display at a couple of local businesses that allow me to sell my cards. But I would love to make special cards for you, too! I can create custom cards with specific themes, colors or characters–just ask! Cards are typically $3.00 each or 4 for $10.00. Contact me at email@example.com to order.
Thanks so much for stopping by today! Laurie

This week at Bitten by the Bug 2 the theme is Penguins–perfect for these cold January days! Since I need to get working on my Valentine cards, I decided to kill two birds with one stone (sorry all you penguins out there) and make a Penguin Valentine!
The penguin Cricut cut is from Winter Frolic, but I changed him up a bit in Design Space, taking off his hat and the pinwheel in his hand. The heart border is from Artiste by Close To My Heart and the speech balloon is from Smiley Cards. I added some glittery puffies from CTMH and google eyes to embellish the cool little penguin
Stop on over to Bitten by the Bug 2 to see the penguin projects created by the other Design Team members. You will be sure to find some inspiration for creating your own artwork. Then link up your awesome projects to share with everyone! Thanks for stopping by today!
Have an awesome day and try to make a whole bunch of people smile! Laurie

It’s time to start thinking about Valentine’s Day! I created a few cards using the beautiful La Vie En Rose paper collection from Close To My Heart. This gorgeous rose paper is just perfect for traditional Valentine cards, don’t you agree? I accented the pattern papers with Pomegranate, Black and White Daisy cardstock and used Pomegranate and Black inks for the sentiments. Everything is from Close To My Heart except the ribbon bow on the last card. You can shop HERE for all your CTMH goodies!
I would be happy to make any of these Valentine cards for you! Cards are $3.00 each or 4 for $10.00. Contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org. I will be posting lots of Valentine card designs in the next few weeks, so be sure to check back often to the Crafty Sisters Creations website.
