Have you seen the October Stamp of the Month yet? It is called “Christmas Tunes” and I think it would make an awesome addition to everyone’s holiday stamp collection! I played with this set awhile this morning and I’m still humming some of those Christmas songs! Take a look–
Here are a few cards I made with “Christmas Tunes”, the October Stamp of the Month. I used the two holiday themed paper packs in the Holiday Expressions catalog, Silver and Gold and Beary Christmas to make these cards.
Made with Silver and Gold paper and heat embossed in silver and gold.
Made with Beary Christmas paper and colored with Shin Han markers.
Used Silver and Gold paper–sure hope the Liquid Glass on the snow globe dries clear when it is completely dry!
Beary Christmas paper with stamped image heat embossed in white.
Beary Christmas paper (aren’t those bears adorable?) with image heat embossed with Cranberry pigment ink and Clear embossing powder.
So are you humming Christmas Carols too? I’m so looking forward to using this Stamp of the Month for a bunch of my Christmas cards this year! Thanks for stopping by today! Laurie
Have you seen the August Stamp of the Month? It’s called School Days and is perfect for this “back to school” time of the year. Take a look–
Here is a card I made using this School Year stamp and some of the brand new Enchantment Fundamentals paper that just came out on August 1.
And here are a couple of projects made by the folks at the Close To My Heart home office–
Boy, I can think of lots of projects that could use this stamp set–of course there are back to school cards and gift tags for your child’s teachers and scrapbook pages documenting the first and last days of school. But what about that awesome wooden-look frame? That would be great to feature a sentiment on a card or layout or you could make it look of an old fashioned blackboard. And the speech balloon would be perfect for labeling funny pictures on a layout. Then there is that image that would nicely document the details of a child’s elementary years on school photos for a graduation display or mini album. I think I could go on and on…
You can get this stamp for only $5.00 with any Close To My Heart purchase. Please consider shopping with me on my online shopping site HERE. Thanks for stopping by today! Laurie
It’s Tea Time this week at Heart 2 Heart Challenges! It’s the perfect challenge to spotlight the March Stamp of the Month called “Tea-riffic”. I decided to pair it up with the cute Sugar Rush paper collection and then wanted to make something different than a regular card. So I looked on You Tube for some tutorials on making a tea bag holder–there sure are lots of them!! What do you think?
Along with the Tea-riffic Stamp of the Month, I used the Sugar Rush Cardmaking Thin Cut Bundle (includes stamps and coordinating Thin Cuts both–25% off this month) for the cute donut that keeps the teabag holder closed.
The tea bag holder is made so that it can stand up by itself. I have a friend who loves to drink tea and I think this will make the perfect little birthday treat for her!
Please stop by Heart 2 Heart Challenges and check out the other Tea Time projects that the design team created this week. Then link up your own projects so we can all be inspired!

Happy New Year, Friends!
Welcome back to a new year of awesome challenges at Heart 2 Heart! For this first week in January, the challenge is to use Gold or Silver on a project. I chose to use the Uptown Fundamentals paper pack and the January Stamp of the Month to create an elegant black and gold all occasion card.
I stamped an image from the January Stamp of the Month (see below) and heat embossed it with gold embossing powder. The image is mounted on a black mat trimmed with Gold Foil tape. I finished it off with a bow made from black and gold ribbon.
Now it’s your turn to create with Silver and Gold! Please link up your project at Heart 2 Heart–we love to see your artwork!
Take a look at Thoughtful Flowers, the December Stamp of the Month! Beautiful flowers and beautiful sentiments make an all around beautiful stamp set!
Here is a Christmas card I made with this Stamp of the Month. I thought one of the flower images resembled a poinsettia, so I stamped three of them in Versa Mark ink and heat embossed with gold embossing powder. I then used my watercolor paints to add a bit of color to the images. I layered gold and white shimmer trim over papers from Oh Deer and added a white glitter snowflake and a Christmas sentiment banner.
I especially love the sentiments since they are a bit different than those you usually find on a sympathy card, so I had to make one of those too! I used the gray toned linen paper from the Rustic Fundamentals collection, turning the gold stripe over to silver and adding some silver sequins to the flowers.
And finally, here is a card made by one of the artists at the CTMH Home Office. The flower stamps were used to create the background for the card which really sets off the sentiment on the black banner.
You can get your own Thoughtful Flowers SOTM for only $5.00 when you purchase $50.00 of Close To My Heart products. Or you can purchase the set for the full retail value of $17.95. Shop HERE!!

Yesterday I shared a few cards that I made with the November Stamp of the Month called New Year’s Wishes that were NOT related to New Year’s events. While writing that blog post, I thought of another way to use the snowflake stamps on that set and here is the result. A random stamped and heat embossed background and sentiment in non traditional holiday colors!
Since one of the latest challenges at Heart 2 Heart was to create a holiday project using non-traditional colors (no red or green), I decided to link up this card to share. Check out their blog and the other great projects!
Take a look at the sketch above from Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge! The next card I made using the November Stamp of the Month was based on this sketch so I am entering it in their challenge. I was pretty ambivalent about the colors while I was making this card, but it turned out to be one of my favs! Check out my previous blog post for more ideas on using the SOTM for non New Year’s creations and visit Atlantic Hearts for even more creative inspiration!
I used the gray side of the Uptown Fundamentals paper along with Slate ink, Whisper cardstock and the Slate polka dot ribbon that coordinates with the Uptown papers. Won’t it make a great wedding or anniversary card? Just change up the sentiment on the inside to fit your occasion!
