The challenge at Bitten by the Bug 2 this week is to use Autumn themed Cricut cuts on your artwork. My son and his family will be coming home for Thanksgiving this year, so I thought I would get a head start on some layouts for the hundreds of photos I’m sure I will take! I used the amazing new You Are Here cartridge from Close To My Heart. I love that this cartridge has so much more than just images for travel!
The paper is from the CTMH Falling For You collection. I added the buttons from the Complements pack, a PML card, twine and sequins as embellishments. Scrapbooking is seriously so much easier when everything coordinates like the fabulous Close To My Heart products!
So let’s all start thinking about all the wonderful Autumn themed Cricut cuts out there and share your projects at Bitten by the Bug 2 for everyone to enjoy! We love to see what you create!
Thanks for stopping by–do something AWESOME every day! Laurie
This first layout was created with only one sheet of pattern paper cut on diagonals plus embellishments from the Complements set (shown below). There are no Cricut cuts or stamping on this layout. The awesome thing about Close To My Heart collections is that EVERYTHING coordinates so beautifully, making your scrapbooks so quick and easy to create!
I’m so excited to make this project with my Close To My Heart Club members in September!
There is also a Cats and Bats Workshop Your Way that contains a full paper pack, extra coordinating cardstock, a pack of Complements, black shimmer trim and matching enamel dots (see photo below). Plus you can download a free cutting guide with directions to make 3 two page layouts (see layouts below) with enough paper left over to make cards or another layout. All this for only $26.95!
Better snag yourself some Cats and Bats paper and start creating some of these awesome projects! Thank you for shopping at my online shopping site! Make it a great day– Laurie
This week at Heart 2 Heart it’s Anything Goes!! That means there are no sketches, themes or guidelines to follow as long as you use Close To My Heart products. I decided to dig into my new Basics Fundamentals paper pack and make a scrapbook layout for my 40th class reunion photos. The new Basics Fundamentals papers are really beautiful and I think this layout nicely showcases several of the patterns in this collection. And doesn’t the new Color of the Year–Bashful–look fabulous with the neutral Basics paper?
The Cricut cuts on this layout came from the new You Are Here cartridge from Close To My Heart. I was really excited to see the Class Reunion image. There is so much more to this cartridge than just travel, believe me! You can find more details about it HERE.
Please stop by Heart 2 Heart to see the other design team projects and then share you own Anything Goes CTMH artwork for everyone to enjoy!
Thanks for stopping by today! Make it a great week! Laurie
Note: Edited with the correct spelling of “Eclipse”– not sure how that one got by my little pea brain!!
I’m sure you have all heard about the solar eclipse that will be passing over the U.S. on August 21. Well, here in Southeast Nebraska we are especially excited since we are right in the middle of the Path of Totality! There are viewing parties planned, a whole weekend of community events and not a hotel room to be found in the area. So of course I had to create a scrapbook layout to commemorate this once in a lifetime event.
I did lots of designing on Design Space since there are really no images available for a solar eclipse on Cricut Access. I used paper from the new Adventure Fundamentals collection because I thought the ombre design represented the gradual move to darkness that we will see that day. I inserted a large circle to cover the sun image and sliced the text in that circle since I really dislike gluing down small letters! The other words were also sliced into the shapes so the background shows through.
I’m sure I will have lots more photos than just the four shown on these layouts. My plan is to add 4 x 6 Flip Flaps wherever needed to hold the extra photos. I didn’t do any of my usual overlapping of photo mats this time to allow room to attach those Flip Flaps.
I hope you are all excited about the eclipse too! Take some time to savor this miracle of nature! Laurie
When I first saw Jack, I thought I might just fall in love, but after creating these layouts, it really did happen–I AM in love with Jack and I’m not afraid to admit it! And I think you would be too if you had this amazing paper pack! So much fun for masculine themed layouts and cards and perfect for all your “outdoorsy” photos too!
This layout has several images from the brand new You Are Here Cricut cartridge from Close To My Heart plus goodies from the Complements set and a bit of Slate extra thick twine.
The FRIENDS title is stamped with the CTMH Marker alphabet set. You could put any words you want here to match your photos.
This final layout has Cricut tree cuts from other Close To My Heart cartridges as well as sticker titles and embellishments from the Complements set. All of these layouts can be made with just one Jack Workshop Your Way and you will still have plenty of leftovers to create even more fabulous projects!
Let me know if you would like to make your own Jack layouts and I will send you a kit of pre-cut images and papers for only $30.00 plus shipping. I know you will fall in love with Jack too, just like me!
Thanks for dropping by! Make something beautiful today! Laurie
I’m so happy to host the challenge at Bitten by the Bug 2 this week! I chose the theme Summer Water Fun for you all to play with this week. Of course, your first thought might be the beach or pool, but what about sprinklers, slip and slides, surfing, boating, fishing, water skiing, water balloons, kayaks, cruise ships and so much more? And if you live in hot, dry, rural Nebraska, your main water fun might involve irrigation pipes or pivots!
I chose to document the first time my new grandson went swimming in the family’s backyard pool. I saw a similar project on Pinterest where the waves were rows of torn paper, but I decided the Cricut could do the work for me. The wave cuts are from Crocs Rule and the title is from When I Was a Kid. All the cardstock is from Close To My Heart and the stamped images are also from CTMH. This little guy is certainly “born to swim”!!
Please take a minute to stop over to Bitten by the Bug 2. There are some wonderful design team projects related to Summer Water Fun that you won’t want to miss! Then link up your own projects for everyone to enjoy!
Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope your week is off to a great start! Laurie
