I just returned from a 10 day visit with my son and his family in Destin, Florida. While there, my almost three year old grandson and I made a Halloween craft. We shopped for all the items and worked in stages to complete our creation. What do you think?
I saw a similar project that was making the rounds on Facebook and that was our inspiration. My grandson wanted to add the sparkly spiders and fall themed floral picks. I think they add a lot! Here is the original project:
We had so much fun making our pumpkin craft! I hope he will remember the laughs we had and the sense of pride as he shared the craft with his parents and friends. Love that little guy! Enjoy a few pictures of our fun project.
Thanks for stopping by today! Make some memories with your family or friends this Halloween! Laurie
This week we welcome Halloween at Bitten by the Bug 2! There is no end to the scary, cute, spooky or sweet themes for your Halloween projects, so let’s get crafting! I chose to put together a Make it Now project from Design Space called Spooky Forest Dimensional Art. These Make it Now projects are awesome! Just click on CUT, place the correct colored paper on your mat and voila!
This project has many layers, but they were easy enough to assemble. By using dimensional foam adhesive to attach each layer, the scene becomes three dimensional.
If you haven’t given any of the Make it Now projects a try yet, you really should! Pick a Halloween project, fire up your Cricut and then link up your project at Bitten by the Bug 2! We love it when you share your artwork!
Thanks for stopping by today! I wish for you all a wonderful week! Laurie
I have been playing around lately with the new Flower Market Cricut cartridge from Close To My Heart. I love the three dimensional flowers on this cartridge and thought they would make some great home décor projects to display in my shadow box.
First I started with sunflowers on a twig wreath. They are accented with some red berries and sprigs of leaves. The background paper is from the Rustic Home Fundamentals paper collection.
The next project I made was for Halloween. Flower Market has an amazing sugar skull image and they seem to be wildly popular right now! I made several chrysanthemums from different shades of purple, a couple of black roses, and some orange succulents.
Then I thought I needed a Thanksgiving scene, so I dug out all kinds of cardstock in fall colors, cranked up my Explore again and here is the result. A few leaves, asters, mums, acorns and bittersweet mounted on another Rustic Home woodgrain background and I was happy with the results!
Next up is a Christmas wreath complete with poinsettias and holly. Unfortunately the photo is not so great, but believe me, it’s pretty awesome too! So is the Flower Market cartridge!!
I am offering all four of these home décor scenes AND the shadow box as a workshop for only $40.00! Please contact me for details. And if you need any Close To My Heart products, please shop HERE!
Have a wonderful day and try to do something AWESOME! Laurie
I made another home décor project with the new Flower Market Cricut cartridge by Close To My Heart–this time with a Thanksgiving theme! The Autumn color palette is one of my favorites and the flowers on this cartridge are so awesome!
My goal is to have a decorated 12 x 12 page to place in my CTMH shadow box to coordinate with the seasons/holidays throughout the year. So, I have now made a late summer, a Halloween, and now a Thanksgiving project. Christmas is next!!
