We are busy today getting ready for a Pumpkin Painting and Decorating party that my daughter in law is throwing for her daycare families and a few friends. But I wanted to stop in to share another Halloween card that I recently made. The card base is from a Lori Whitlock SVG file that I purchased a while back. I love that you can decorate these for any occasion–in this case with some Teresa Collins (I think) paper and embellishments that I had in my Halloween box.
I hope you have a wonderful weekend and stop back again for more projects on Monday! Laurie
Have you ever made a side step card? They are very easy and you can find all kinds of directions on Pinterest or YouTube. I decorated mine with papers, cutouts and stickers that came with some October Afternoon and My Mind’s Eye Halloween paper packs I’ve had in my stash.
Thanks for stopping by! I’m back in Florida having a wonderful time with my grandsons and daughter in law! Laurie
And Hello to October! This week at Bitten by the Bug 2 we are celebrating October with a Pumpkin challenge! I really had to restrain myself from just taking a photo of my latest Pumpkin Spice Latte and post that for my project, but then I realized that would not involve a Cricut cut LOL. So I went to Design Space instead to do some searching for something new.
The cut was on Cricut Access and came from a collection called Intricate Seasonal Art. It has three layers and let me tell you, it really is an intricate cut! I think the top layer took at least 10 minutes to finish!
It’s fun to try something new so why don’t you take a look at your cartridges and pick a new pumpkin cut to try! Then link it up at Bitten by the Bug 2 for everyone to enjoy!
Thanks for stopping by! It might be a great day for a pumpkin treat–just sayin’! Laurie
Believe it or not it’s time to start thinking about Halloween and the Cats and Bats paper collection is perfect for all your spooky fun photos and cards!
This first layout was created with only one sheet of pattern paper cut on diagonals plus embellishments from the Complements set (shown below). There are no Cricut cuts or stamping on this layout. The awesome thing about Close To My Heart collections is that EVERYTHING coordinates so beautifully, making your scrapbooks so quick and easy to create!
This second layout is also created with only one sheet of pattern paper plus coordinating cardstock. The embellishments are from the Cats and Bats Scrapbooking Thin Cuts and Stamps bundle (shown below) and a couple of Cricut cuts from CTMH cartridges.
I’m so excited to make this project with my Close To My Heart Club members in September!
There is also a Cats and Bats Workshop Your Way that contains a full paper pack, extra coordinating cardstock, a pack of Complements, black shimmer trim and matching enamel dots (see photo below). Plus you can download a free cutting guide with directions to make 3 two page layouts (see layouts below) with enough paper left over to make cards or another layout. All this for only $26.95!
Better snag yourself some Cats and Bats paper and start creating some of these awesome projects! Thank you for shopping at my online shopping site! Make it a great day– Laurie
I am happy to be hosting the challenge over at Heart 2 Heart this week! The theme for the challenge is CHANGE. That could mean changes in the seasons, changes in our lives, or changes in how our children grow each year. It could also be as simple as the change from a pumpkin to a jack-o-lantern! My project documents two changes–the transformation of a plain foam pumpkin to Halloween décor and the changes in my grandson since I last saw him in May.
I took quite a few pictures of our crafting sessions–too many to nicely fit on a one page layout. So I decided to try out the new CTMH Pocket Plus Memory Protectors. You simply slip your pictures into the sleeves, then add them to your albums. Easy as pumpkin pie! In this layout I was able to add four more photos and still have a nice, clean and simple page.
I used paper from the collection along with the coordinating black glitter Complements. The embellishments and title block were cut from various Close To My Heart cartridges.
Please stop over to Heart 2 Heart to see the other design team projects all about CHANGES. Then link up your own artwork so we can all enjoy!
Happy Halloween! Laurie
