I am happy to be hosting the challenge over at Heart 2 Heart this week! The theme for the challenge is CHANGE. That could mean changes in the seasons, changes in our lives, or changes in how our children grow each year. It could also be as simple as the change from a pumpkin to a jack-o-lantern! My project documents two changes–the transformation of a plain foam pumpkin to Halloween décor and the changes in my grandson since I last saw him in May.
I took quite a few pictures of our crafting sessions–too many to nicely fit on a one page layout. So I decided to try out the new CTMH Pocket Plus Memory Protectors. You simply slip your pictures into the sleeves, then add them to your albums. Easy as pumpkin pie! In this layout I was able to add four more photos and still have a nice, clean and simple page.
I used paper from the collection along with the coordinating black glitter Complements. The embellishments and title block were cut from various Close To My Heart cartridges.
Please stop over to Heart 2 Heart to see the other design team projects all about CHANGES. Then link up your own artwork so we can all enjoy!
I just returned from a 10 day visit with my son and his family in Destin, Florida. While there, my almost three year old grandson and I made a Halloween craft. We shopped for all the items and worked in stages to complete our creation. What do you think?
I saw a similar project that was making the rounds on Facebook and that was our inspiration. My grandson wanted to add the sparkly spiders and fall themed floral picks. I think they add a lot! Here is the original project:
We had so much fun making our pumpkin craft! I hope he will remember the laughs we had and the sense of pride as he shared the craft with his parents and friends. Love that little guy! Enjoy a few pictures of our fun project.
Thanks for stopping by today! Make some memories with your family or friends this Halloween! Laurie
Halloween cards are some of my favorite cards to make even though I only send a few out to special people each year! Here are a few more that I made for some customers.
I love being able to search for images in Design Space–so much easier than searching through the multitude of individual Cricut booklets!
I also love being able to use up paper and embellishments from my well stocked stash of paper crafting supplies! I think I could craft non-stop for many years straight and not have to buy another item! Anyone with me?
Thank you very much for stopping by today! Remember to do something awesome EVERY day! Laurie
I got to help carve pumpkins the other day with my grandson! What a fun and messy time! I hadn’t carved pumpkins since I last taught Kindergarten, and that has been a few years. It’s still not my favorite thing to do, but the excitement of an almost three year old makes it special!
Here are a couple more Halloween cards that I made before my visit to Florida. Again, I used various images I found on Design Space, paper and other embellishments I found in my Halloween box and Close To My Heart paper for most of the Cricut cuts.
Remember to order your Planner pages and binders for 2017! The Planner Bundle for only $31.90 would be a perfect Christmas gift for the organized (or not-so-organized) person on your list! Choose from the new Sea Glass or Black/White Striped binders and get ready to decorate those planner pages!
I have been having so much fun visiting my almost three year old grandson and his parents in Destin, Florida for the past week or so. Yesterday we went to a pumpkin patch and had a wonderful day! I can’t wait to get back home and scrapbook some of the pictures I took, because he is the cutest little guy ever!!
I made quite a few Halloween cards before I left Nebraska, and here are a couple more. They are made from various cuts I found in Design Space along with paper and stickers from my stash. All of the cardstock is Close To My Heart since I can always count on it to cut perfectly with my Cricut!
There are only a few days left for you to get your set of the October Stamp of the Month called Yuletide Joy! It’s a good one for your Christmas cards, but is also great for other occasions like birthdays, congratulations, and even weddings!
This week we welcome Halloween at Bitten by the Bug 2! There is no end to the scary, cute, spooky or sweet themes for your Halloween projects, so let’s get crafting! I chose to put together a Make it Now project from Design Space called Spooky Forest Dimensional Art. These Make it Now projects are awesome! Just click on CUT, place the correct colored paper on your mat and voila!
This project has many layers, but they were easy enough to assemble. By using dimensional foam adhesive to attach each layer, the scene becomes three dimensional.
If you haven’t given any of the Make it Now projects a try yet, you really should! Pick a Halloween project, fire up your Cricut and then link up your project at Bitten by the Bug 2! We love it when you share your artwork!
Thanks for stopping by today! I wish for you all a wonderful week! Laurie
Well, the frost is definitely on the pumpkin this morning as we had our first “freeze” overnight in southeast Nebraska! I have to say that I won’t be all that sad to say goodbye to my gardens for the year. They haven’t been very high on my priority list this year anyway!
What has been high on my list, though, is crafting–specifically making Halloween cards! Here are two pop-up Halloween cards that I recently made using retired Close To My Heart paper and the Artfully Sent Cricut cartridge.
The Artfully Sent Cricut cartridge makes it so easy to make these cards! All you have to do is pick your papers and coordinating cardstock and push CUT!
If you need any Close To My Heart products, please shop HERE. I would be happy to help you with any of your paper crafting needs!
Thanks for stopping by and have an awesome day! Laurie
