The challenge this week at Bitten by the Bug 2 is SUMMER! It’s June and the hot weather has arrived, at least here in Nebraska, so time to start thinking about summer activities. And nothing says summer like a day at the beach with a cute little boy who is quite the beach bum!
I used Cricut cuts from several cartridges–Photo Fun (sun overlay), April Showers (word “sunshine”) and Pack Your Bags (sun with a face). The paper is from a summer themed collection by Authentique. I just love the feel of pure joy and excitement in these photos of my grandson! If only that feeling could be bottled up and shared…
Please top over at Bitten by the Bug 2 to see the other design team projects which celebrate SUMMER. Then we’d love to have you link up your own summer projects for all of us to enjoy!
Hope it feels like you are “walking on sunshine” today! Laurie
I am happy to be the host for this week’s challenge at Bitten by the Bug 2. As a former teacher, I always keep the school schedule in the back of my mind, so I thought it would be fun to create projects this week with school in mind. So, get your die cutting machines running and make some projects to celebrate a graduation, the end of the school year, or even a thank you card for a teacher!
I needed graduation cards for two of my nephews–one from high school in Pennsylvania and one from the University of Nebraska. I found this great step card SVG file from Lori Whitlock and thought it would be perfect to spell out the word GRAD on the inside. The graduation paper and some of the embellishments came from Doodlebug. Silver metallic paper accents make this card really pop!
Take a look at the other design team projects at Bitten by the Bug 2 this week and then please link up your projects! We love to see your awesome artwork!
I hope all you moms out there had a fabulous Mother’s Day! Be awesome today–Laurie
It’s time to make some cards! New Graduation, Mother’s Day, Birthday and Wedding cards are now available! You can personalize your cards by choosing colors to match the graduate’s school colors or a wedding’s color theme.
Come to my house and choose the cards you’d like to make–$2.00 each or make 10 for $15.00. Card Workshop dates are Sunday, April 23 from 1:00 to 4:00 and Monday, April 24 from 6:30 to 9:30. Please RSVP so I can have space and materials available!
If you can’t attend the Workshop, you may order any of the cards and I’ll send you card kits by mail. Same prices, but add postage. Contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org for details.
Graduations cards already? Really? Even though it is hard to imagine, the school year will soon be winding down and Graduation will be the focus for many families. I am hosting a Card Workshop on April 16 and 17 and here are a few of the Graduation cards that will be available for crafters to make.
These Graduation cards are just a few of the many types of cards you can make at the upcoming Card Workshop for just $2.00 a card. Others include Birthday, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day and Wedding. Many cards can be personalized by choosing different colors or sentiments–the sky is the limit!
If you cannot attend the Card Workshop, I would be happy to make up kits of the cards you would like for $2.00 each plus shipping. I would also sell completed cards for $3.00 each or 4 for $10.00. Just let me know how I can help and stay tuned for pictures of other cards soon!
Make someone smile today! Laurie

Today I am sharing some Graduation Cards that I made for a couple of recent events. I used a variety of papers to create the cards, but any Cricut cuts were made with Close To My Heart cardstock since it cuts so beautifully! I have wasted so much paper in the past with snags, drags, and incomplete cuts when using lesser quality cardstock. However, when I use CTMH cardstock, I know ANY cuts will come out great!
I have the following Graduation Cards in stock and ready for purchase if you need some–$3.00 each or 4 for $10.00! I can also adjust the colors of most of the cards to fit the colors of your graduate’s school and even personalize the cards with your graduate’s name, sport or school activity. Just let me know!
