Hopping Down the Bunny Trail!

Posted on

Hello Friends!

Easter is just around the corner, but there is still time to make some Easter projects!  The challenge this week at Bitten by the Bug 2 is to create an Easter themed project.  I made this cute bunny card from the Winter Woodland cartridge and the Hope collection from Authentique.

I absolutely love this paper and its vintage vibe.  I added lots of inking around the papers and Cricut cuts to continue the rustic feel.  For the inside sentiment, I used one of the coordinating elements from the paper collection.

Please join us at Bitten by the Bug 2 to see the other design team projects and then link up your own artwork!  There are so many fun Easter cuts and we can’t wait to see what you make!

Thanks for stopping by today!  I hope your week is off to a fabulous start!   Laurie

Even More Easter Cards!

Hello Friends!

Here are a few more Easter cards to share today.  These are all made with paper and stickers from my stash and a retired Close To My Heart Easter stamp set.

This has to be a very quick post today since I’m on a road trip with my friend and we have places to go and sites to see!  We traveled through beautiful eastern Utah yesterday to Page, Arizona.  Today, who knows?  The route has yet to be determined…

Hope your life is like a ROADTRIP–fabulous company, wonderful scenery and surprises around every corner!   Laurie

Thinking About Easter!

Hello, Friends!

Amazingly, Easter is just around the corner!  I thought I would try out a couple of the Make It Now projects on Design Space.  These are really awesome projects that you can just click on and cut without doing any work besides deciding on which papers to use.  But if you want to adjust the design, you can by first clicking on “custom”.  Then you can change the size, layers, etc. to your own needs.  I did change the size of these cards to my usual A7 (6.5 x 5 inch) size.   Enjoy this little touch of Spring!!

If you have never tried out the Make It Now projects, I would suggest that you check them out!  They really are quick and easy since the designing has been done for you!

Enjoy this beautiful day!    Laurie

This first card is from Artfully Sent by Close To My Heart.  It is a cute pop up card with a bunny inside and the appropriate “Hoppy Easter” sentiment.  There are so many cute pop up cards on this cartridge for all kinds of occasions–you can check it out HERE!

The next card was so easy to make!  I simply searched for Easter images in Design Space and designed away!  I love how you can even change the colors of the images and layers so that you can see exactly what your project will look like even before you cut.

Easter Cards Part 5 at Bitten by the Bug 2

Hello Friends!

Welcome to another design team project for Bitten by the Bug 2 and Day 5 of my Easter cards!  The challenge this week at BBTB2 is Spring Flings and Easter Things!  Be sure to visit the BBTB2 blog to see the other Easter/Spring projects created by my design team sisters.  There are some really cute projects there!

After sharing a bunch of “cute” Easter cards this past week, I decided to switch it up and make some that are more “inspirational”.  I used cuts from the Easter Blessings Cricut cartridge that I found while exploring options in Design Space.  The cuts were all pretty intricate, but my Explore rocked it again and cut them all with no issues!  Of course, using Close To My Heart cardstock helps ensure great cuts as well.   I LOVE my Explore and CTMH!!

Please stop by Bitten by the Bug 2 and link up your own Spring Things and Easter Things projects this week.  I know you probably have some great creations that everyone would love to see, so why not give it a try?

Thank you so much for stopping by today!  I hope your week is off to a FABULOUS start!   Laurie

Easter Cards Part 4

Hello Friends!

Please enjoy my next “installment” of Easter cards for this year!  This adorable bunny in a flower Cricut cut came from Baby Steps.  I embossed the background with a cloud folder, added some Extra Thick Twine and a sentiment from Close To My Heart.

I made the next card with paper from the Penelope collection by Close To My Heart.  This beautiful paper with springtime colors is only available until the end of April, so don’t wait too long if you need this paper in your life!  The basket cut is from Easter 2010 (I think) and the chocolate bunny is from a Teresa Collins Easter collection.  The sentiment is from the Hopping By stamp set by CTMH.
