It is my pleasure (Ho Ho Ho) to introduce the fun challenge this week at Bitten by the Bug 2--use a SANTA cut on a project! I loved this Santa from Seasonal Characters and thought he would be a great embellishment for my layout all ready for photos of my grandsons visiting Santa this year. I also used Teresa Collins’s December 25th cartridge for the word “Santa” and Winter Frolic for the stack of presents. The paper and coordinating cardstock are from the Beary Christmas collection by Close To My Heart.
Be sure to stop over to Bitten by the Bug 2 for lots more Christmas cheer and Ho Ho Ho’s! The design team has been busy searching for their favorite Santa cuts to share with you this week. Don’t forget to link up your own projects with a Santa cut because everyone needs a smile!
Heart 2 Heart Challenges is all about PUNS this week! This cute little bear is from the Punny Pals stamp and Thin Cut set. I thought he went together nicely with the Beary Christmas paper pack, especially when I added a Santa hat! I chose to use the “You are beary special to me” stamp along with “Merry Christmas” for the inside sentiment. I’m planning to give these to my Close To My Heart Club members along with a little gift for Christmas.
Be sure to check out the other PUNNY projects at Heart 2 Heart. Then link up your own artwork for everyone to enjoy!
Thanks for stopping by! Make it an awesome day! Laurie
It’s time to start digging out those warm winter hats, gloves, scarves and heavy coats! Those of you who live in warm climates, will just have to miss this “fun” LOL!! The challenge this week at Bitten by the Bug 2 is to use a Winter Clothes cut on your project.
My son and his family came to Nebraska for Thanksgiving this year and his 11 month old son had never experienced a cold Nebraska wind. They live in Destin, Florida, so he had to get used to socks, shoes and long pants too! In this photo, he looks like a fish out of water in his warm winter clothes!
I used the Winter Woodland cartridge for the large stocking cap that I placed in the background and Three Birds on Parade for the title. The subtle patterns of the Whimsy Fundamentals from Close To My Heart were the perfect papers to use. It is hard to see in the photo, but the snowflakes and the words are cut from white glitter paper.
I hope you stop over to Bitten by the Bug 2 to check out the other design team projects. Then link up your own artwork with Warm Winter Clothes cuts!
I am hosting the challenge at Heart 2 Heart this week and it is all about BASHFUL–the color, the feeling or even Snow White’s dwarf friend!
I chose to make a non-traditional Christmas card using Bashful, the CTMH Color of the Year along with some paper from the Silver and Gold collection. I just love the look of the pale pink Bashful paired with Black and Pewter. I cut the poinsettia from the new You Are Here cartridge and added some Bashful glitter paper and Bashful pearls as embellishments.
Please stop by Heart 2 Heart Challenges to see the other beautiful design team projects. I hope you can squeeze in a little crafting time this Thanksgiving week to enter our Bashful challenge. You have until November 30 to link up your own projects.
If you would like to purchase any of the products I used to create this card, please shop HERE! Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful Thanksgiving! Laurie
The challenge this week at Heart 2 Heart is Vines and Twines! I chose to make a Christmas/Winter card using some Glacier Thick Twine to decorate my snowman and the sentiment panel. The Cricut cuts are from You Are Here and Flower Market, both from Close To My Heart. The background paper is from the Beary Christmas paper collection and I used Galcier, Fern, Chocolate and New England Ivy cardstock along with White and Sea Glass glitter paper.
Please stop by Heart 2 Heart to see the other design team projects and then be sure to play along with our Vines and Twines challenge! You also still have time to join in the previous October challenges: Under the Weather, BeYOUtiful, and Mad About Plaid. We love it when you share!!
Don’t you just LOVE a good Road Trip? That’s the challenge at Bitten by the Bug 2 this week! Last spring I went on a good old fashioned road trip with a good friend. We traveled across Nebraska, through the Rockies of Colorado, south along the eastern border of Utah and finally ended up in Page, Arizona. We put in some long days of driving, but had so much fun and took LOTS of photos! So, when the Road Trip theme came up at BBTB2, I knew I had to make a layout for some of those photos.
The challenge at Heart 2 Heart this week is BEAUTIFUL! Now that could mean a lot of things from beautiful nature, beautiful people, beautiful moments or even beautiful paper and stamps. I chose to use a Cricut cut from the new digital cartridge Hello, USA, and celebrate America the Beautiful!
This cartridge features 60 layered images, one of each of the 50 states, plus 10 extra general images about the U.S. It has flowers, slogans and other icons specific to each state. The layered overlays are especially nice!
I hadn’t had a chance to use this cartridge yet, so this week’s challenge provided the perfect opportunity! Take a look at the details HERE.
Please stop over to Heart 2 Heart to see the other design team projects which are all BEAUTIFUL! Then link up your own beautiful projects for everyone to enjoy–we love it when you share! Laurie
