A brand new Cricut cartridge, You Are Here, was released on August 1 in the new Annual Inspirations catalog. It has many travel themed images, but that is certainly not all! Take a look at some of the other images it has that are definitely NOT related to travel–
Do you know a hunter who has some “trophies” to showcase on a scrapbook page? And how awesome are those sports images? I wish that winged shoe image was around when my boys were in track!

Welcome to the final installment of My Favorite Things from the new Annual Inspirations catalog from Close To My Heart. Today I want to highlight the newest Cricut cartridge called You Are Here! This is “advertised” as a travel themed cartridge and here is how it is described in the catalog–
“Whether you’re traveling abroad, taking a road trip, or enjoying a relaxing staycation, this Cricut® collection is sure to have everything you need to document your journey. From outdoor escapades and family reunions to spa retreats and holiday outings, you’ll find shapes and sentiments for every pit stop along the road of life.”
As with all the Close To My Heart Cricut cartridge bundles, you receive the cartridge, three full sized stamp sets and a set of 24 sheets of Enchantment cardstock for only $99 (or $79 if you order the digital only cartridge). Or you can get this cartridge completely FREE if you sign up to be a CTMH consultant before the end of August.
As I said earlier, You Are Here is known as a travel themed cartridge, but let me assure you, there is quite a lot more than travel! Take a look at some of the sample images I cut that are definitely NOT just for travel.
Here are some beachy/summertime images that could be used for lots of purposes besides a beach vacation!
And how about these awesome wedding cuts? I’m excited to use that cute “just married” car on a wedding card using the new Basics Fundamentals papers! The cake would make a great embellishment on a birthday layout or card as well.
See, there are a lot more than just travel themed images on You Are Here! Tomorrow I’ll be sharing more of the non-travel cuts from this great cartridge. Stay tuned! Laurie
This week I’d like to showcase some of my favorite products from the new Annual Inspirations catalog. There are so many awesome new products that I know I won’t run out of favorites to share for quite a while! So let’s get started!
My first favorite item is a COLOR–the new Color of the Year–BASHFUL! It is a beautiful, soft pink and is available in cardstock, glitter paper, inks, re-inkers, pearl embellishments and even albums. Bashful will be a great complement to the new Basics Fundamentals palette. It will also be fabulous for wedding, baby, springtime and “girly” cards and layouts. Be on the lookout for Bashful–you will be sure to see it everywhere this year!
My next favorite item in the new catalog is the wonderful Make if From Your Heart how-to book. It has sketches for 36 two page layouts and you can search for a sketch by the number of photos you have for your page. There are two layout samples using different paper collections for each sketch and a section on how to use the Pocket Plus Page Protectors. I’ve already made a layout from one of the sketches and you can see it next Monday on the blog. It was quick and easy!
Thanks for stopping by today! Be sure to come back tomorrow to see a couple more of my favorite products from the new Annual Inspirations catalog! Laurie
I have a couple of good friends who have birthdays later in August, so thought I should get crafting before my usual last minute! For someone who makes lots of cards, so many times I just can’t seem to get them sent or delivered on time. Does anyone else have this problem?
I used the stamp set Eat Cake and Celebrate from the brand new Annual Inspirations catalog to make my card. The paper is from the retired Some Kinda Wonderful collection and I embellished the card with glitter paper and black enamel gems. There’s something I really like about the color combination of black and pale pink!
Thanks for stopping by today! Want to go CTMH shopping? I can help you with that! Want to join my CTMH team? I can help you with that too! Laurie
The other day I was going through a bunch of old cards I received in card swaps from previous years. I came across a cool card that I thought I would try to replicate. So I took the card apart, did a little measuring, scoring and cutting and voila! here is the result.
I used the rose print paper from the new Adventure Fundamentals paper collection from Close To My Heart along with Blossom cardstock. The sentiment is from the Seasonal Expressions 2 catalog which will be retiring at the end of August. The roses are from the Beautiful You stamp and Thin Cut bundle.
Later I found out that this type of card is called a Free Standing Pop Up Card. There is a tutorial on Splitcoast Stamper that you can view at the link below.
