Recently I made a set of peacock notecards for a special relative who loves these beautiful birds! I do love the blues and purples in their feathers, but peacocks in general are not my favorite. I think it may have to do with a childhood memory of visiting an aunt and uncle who raised peacocks, some of whom were not fond of inquisitive children! I remember an especially ornery bird who “attacked” my brother during one visit. Now paper peacocks are as close as I care to be to the real thing!
For these notecards I used paper from and old Recollections paper pack from Michaels. The feather cut came from the Sentimentals Cricut cartridge and the peacock cut is from French Manor. I placed the images on a simple frame from Art Philosophy by Close To My Heart. Finally, I added a simple rhinestone bling as an accent.
Remember to leave a little glitter where ever you go! Laurie
