BBTB2 Labor Day Theme–Occupations

Hello Friends!

Happy Monday and welcome to another Design Team project for the Bitten By The Bug 2 challenge–Labor Day!  I hope you have been able to enjoy a wonderful long weekend!  The BBTB2 challenge was to create a project related to an occupation and I chose to honor our law enforcement officers.  There has been so much in the news lately about the police, both positive and negative.  Today I am choosing to focus on the positive and give a shout out to these brave people who help to keep us safe!

I made a square 5.5 x 5.5 inch card to showcase my cute policeman against a background shaped like a badge.  The policeman image came from Paper Dolls for Everyday and the police car was from Beep! Beep!  I found a badge shape in Artistry by Close To My Heart and modified it a bit in Design Space.  The “thank you” sentiment is from Artiste, also by Close To My Heart.  Click HERE to shop for these awesome cartridges!

Has this long weekend allowed you to get into your craft room?  We would love you to share your work at Bitten By The Bug 2 !!  I’s easy to upload your projects and you don’t need a blog to join.  You can use any online photo sharing site like Scrapbook.com or Splitcoast Stampers.  Let me know if I can help!

Make it a POSITIVE day today!!   Laurie

  1. Great idea to honor policemen-they have a tough job and are taking a beating in the media! This came out super cute-love the darling police car! Hope you had a marvelous Labor Day weekend!

  2. How awesom that you made a card honoring policemen. I love how you made a badge as your label.. The car and policeman look so perfect. Fabulous card!!!

  3. I need to make some of these cards too. I have close relatives who are firefighters – along with policemen and women they put their lives on the line every day. thanks for making this card – I am sure it will be much appreciated.
